Halloween sales are short: most run for the last week of October, and plenty run for a single night. That leaves no room for a slow brand film. A Halloween sale ad has to say the offer in the first second, show what is on sale and say when it ends, all before the viewer scrolls on.

What to put on screen, in order

TimeOn screenWhy
0–1 sThe lights flicker on and a neon kicker stutters to life: "Halloween flash sale".The flicker is the hook, and it tells people it's a Halloween offer before they read anything.
~1 sThe discount lands in big orange type and starts to drip. The number is what people stop for. Dripping text says "Halloween" without a costume.
1.5–6 sEach product rises out of the fog with its name, the old price struck through and the sale price. A ghost drifts by and bats cross the glow.People buy products, not percentages. The struck price shows the saving.
6 s–endThe deadline, the promo code and the call to action. It ends on what to do and by when, and the last frame makes a good thumbnail.

Write the offer first

  • Lead with a number. "30% off" or "$10 off" works in the first second; "Spooky deals" doesn't.
  • Use real prices. Every sale price should match the advertised discount. If 30% off a $24 candle, show $16.80.
  • Give a specific, true deadline. "Ends tonight at midnight" or "Ends 31 October" beats "Limited time", and invented urgency costs you trust.
  • Show one to three products. More than three and none of them stays on screen long enough to read.

Make it from a brief

The Halloween Flash Sale Skill renders the whole ad on your own machine from a short brief:

Make a Halloween flash sale ad for Kova Home: 30% off our candle, mug and bottle, ends tonight at midnight, code BOO30. Vertical and 4:5.

Your agent asks only for what's missing (product images, names, regular and sale prices), checks that the prices match the discount, and renders 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9 from the same file. No footage, no editing app and no API key. See the sample ad.

Transparent PNG or SVG product images work best: they rise cleanly out of the fog instead of showing a box.

Posting it

  • TikTok, Reels and Shorts: post the 9:16. The film is silent, so add a trending sound inside the app, where it's licensed.
  • Instagram and Facebook feeds: post the 4:5, or the 1:1 for carousels.
  • YouTube and your site: use the 16:9.
  • Put the code in the caption too, so people can copy it.

After Halloween

Change the kicker and the deadline and the same products become a last-chance or "Treats extended" offer. For Black Friday, the Seasonal Sale Burst Skill does the same offer-first job without the Halloween look.
