The sticker journal trend: a scrapbook that builds itself around your product

A planner page for Saturday night fills with stickers: lipstick, gold hoops, champagne coupes, red heels. Then a perfume bottle lands with "my signature scent" scribbled next to it. The camera dives into the bottle and comes out on "what's in my bag", where everything bursts out of a cream tote with a hand-written label. Then a suitcase clicks open and gets packed, a printer prints a magazine page, and three ticket cards give the scent notes. The bottle is on every page. It looks like someone's digital journal, and that's why people watch it to the end.
Why it works
- It looks like a person made it. Die-cut stickers, hand-writing and little doodles read as a creator's journal, not an ad, so people don't scroll past.
- Something new every tenth of a second. Stickers pop on, labels draw themselves, pages fly by. There's always a reason to keep watching.
- The product lives in a life. Seeing it in a night out, a handbag and a weekend away does more than any spec sheet: it shows where the product fits in your customer's day.
The shot list
| Time | Page | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 0–2.4 s | Planner | Time blocks slide in, stickers slap onto them, the product lands with a label |
| 2.2–4.8 s | What's in my bag | The bag drops and everything bursts out of it, each thing with a label |
| 4.5–7.3 s | Suitcase | It clicks open and gets packed; a photo drops, and the camera dives in |
| 7.0–9.6 s | Printed page | A printer feeds out a magazine page about the product |
| 9.3–11.8 s | Note cards | Two or three cards slide in with the ingredients |
| 11.5–14.8 s | Last page | The name in script, the product, someone holding it, the price and the CTA |
Keep it together
Keep every sticker in one colour family and one kind of photo: soft studio light, no shadows, a white die-cut edge on each one. Pick objects from your customer's life rather than more products, and make sure your own product is on every page. That's the thread that makes it an ad.
It's not just for perfume
It suits anything that belongs in someone's day: skincare and make-up, jewellery, bags and accessories, candles, travel gear, gifts. Swap the pages to fit: a desk instead of a bag, a picnic basket instead of a suitcase, a recipe card instead of scent notes.
Make one from a photo and a few ideas
The Sticker Journal Skill makes the stickers with AI, cuts them out, then lays out and animates the pages, the sound and the text on your machine:
Make a sticker journal video for Maison Vey Ambre Nuit, a $165 amber perfume: a Saturday-night planner, what's in my bag, a weekend suitcase, a printed "scent issue" page and three note cards (orange blossom, amber, vanilla and tonka), ending on a woman holding the bottle, "your new signature" and "Shop the scent".
Your agent suggests the stickers for each page and shows you the whole set before rendering. See the perfume sample.
Posting it
- TikTok, Reels and Shorts: post the 9:16 with its pops and scribbles, or add a trending sound in the app.
- Reuse the stickers: every sticker comes out as a die-cut PNG, ready for stories and carousel posts.
- Make it a series: a new journal for every season or launch, with the same product sticker.
FAQ
Do I need photos of the stickers? No. Only your product needs a photo; the other stickers are made for you.
Is the sound included? Yes. Pops, scribbles, a suitcase latch, a camera shutter, the printer and a chime, all made for your timing, so there's nothing to license.
How long is it? About 15 seconds with five pages.
