A chef stands behind a walnut counter with three empty buns in front of him. He racks a pistol. Bang, bang, bang: three fast shots, left, middle, right, and every bun he hits is suddenly a finished burger, each one different, with its name popping up over it. He lowers the gun, blows the smoke off the muzzle, and the "order now" button lands. The whole thing takes about six seconds, and it's one of the most remade food hooks of the season.

Why it works

  • The rack is the hook. The click of a slide or the pump of a shotgun tells everyone something is about to happen, and they wait for it.
  • Every shot pays off. Three shots, three transformations, each with its own sound. That rhythm is why people watch it twice.
  • It's a menu in disguise. Each item lands with its label, so by the end the viewer has seen your whole range and picked a favourite.

Keep it real

The trend uses a real gun and a real-looking scene: a chef in a kitchen, a shooter at a range. The sound matters as much as the picture: the rack, then a sharp gunshot on every reveal. Make the "before" look nothing like the "after", so each shot is a real surprise: empty buns, a heap of shattered plate shards, plain blanks.

It's not just for burgers

Anything with a before and an after works. Run it in reverse, as a clay shoot where heaps of shards snap back into whole handmade plates. Or go from plain blanks to your colourways, empty glasses to your drinks, or empty boxes to your gift sets.

Make it from a product photo

The Bang Bang Reveal Skill makes the footage with AI from one product photo, synthesizes the rack and the gunshots, and adds the labels, caption and CTA on your machine:

Make a bang bang reveal for our Ember & Bun burgers: a chef with a pistol in a restaurant kitchen, three empty buns that turn into Smoky, Double and Classic, caption "Pick your burger", CTA "Order now".

Your agent shows you the keyframes (the three "before" items, then each one finished in turn) before it makes the video, so every product looks right before you spend more. See the burger and plates samples.

Posting it

  • TikTok, Reels and Shorts: post the 9:16 with its gunshots; it's short enough to loop.
  • Make it a series: one product line a day, each with its own "Pick your…" caption.
  • Feeds: the 4:5 and 1:1 versions crop the vertical film and keep the item row in frame.

FAQ

Do I need to film anything? No. One clear photo of the product, or a description of each item, is enough.

Is the sound included? Yes. The rack and a gunshot on every reveal are generated for your timing, so there's nothing to license.

How long is it? About 5 to 7 seconds per product.
