Give it one photo of the creator and a hook line. It puts the hook into the shot as a floating phone notification and generates a 5-second AI clip of the creator destroying it, in one of four ways: burn, fog wipe, roll and toss, or shatter with your product dropping out. Stack several hooks back to back and add a CTA.

Updated Oct 27, 2026

What you get

  • 5-second AI hook clips (burn, fog wipe, roll or shatter) as H.264 MP4 in 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1
  • The still of each hook and a poster frame
  • An editable JSON file: change captions and CTAs and re-render without paying for new clips

Good fit

  • Creators and personal brands opening talking-head videos
  • Offer and restock announcements (the shatter variant drops the product in)
  • UGC-style ads that need a pattern interrupt in the first second

Not for

  • Long text: the card holds one short line
  • Product-only shots with no person
  • Brands that can't use AI-generated footage of a person

About this Skill

You say

/ui-break-hook Make two UI break hooks from this photo of me for my Reels: burn "Stop scrolling. This is your sign." and shatter with our jar for "Sold out in 3 hours. It's back." Account name kova.skin, CTA "Restocked · link in bio".

A scroll-stopping opener that breaks the fourth wall: the hook sits in the frame as a real-looking phone notification, and the person on camera treats it as a physical object. Burn: they flick a lighter and the notification catches fire and burns to embers. Fog: the lens is steamed up, and they wipe it clear, notification and all. Roll: they hold the notification like a strip of paper, roll it up and toss it away. Shatter: your product drops out of the card into their hands and the card bursts into glittering fragments. Each hook is a 5-second clip generated from one photo, and a CTA can pop in as the card disappears.

How it works

  1. Brief: your agent asks only for what's missing: one photo of the creator (upper body or sitting, with clear space above the head), the hook line (one short sentence), the account name shown on the card, the variant for each hook (burn, fog, roll or shatter), a product photo for shatter, and an optional caption and CTA per hook. You also need an API key for the two models it calls, Nano Banana 2 and Kling 2.5 Turbo; each hook costs about $0.43 in model usage ($0.51 for shatter).
  2. Still: it puts your hook into your photo as a floating notification and shows it to you, so you can check the spelling before spending more.
  3. Motion: Kling 2.5 Turbo animates the move (burn, fog wipe, roll or shatter) as a 5-second clip.
  4. Captions and CTA: rendered over the clips on your machine, in any language, and re-rendered for free whenever the copy changes.

Tips

  • Use a photo with real empty space above the head (a wall or sky): that is where the card goes.
  • Keep the hook under about 40 characters so the card stays on one line and reads at a glance.
  • Check the still before the video step: if a word on the card is misspelled, regenerate the still (about $0.08), not the video.
  • Open your video with the hook and cut to your real content right after the card is gone; each clip is 5 seconds.

FAQ

What do I need besides the photo?

An API key for the two models the Skill calls: Nano Banana 2 puts the card into your photo and Kling 2.5 Turbo makes the 5-second clip. You set it in your own terminal, and the Skill's setup step shows where to get it. Model usage is billed to your key: about $0.43 per hook ($0.51 for shatter) at October 2026 prices.

Does the card look like a real app?

It's a neutral frosted notification with a plain speech-bubble icon and your account name, so it reads as a phone notification on any platform without using any app's logo.

Can the hook be in other languages?

Yes. Write the hook in any language; check the spelling on the still before the video is made. Captions and CTAs are rendered as real text in any language.

Can I use any photo of a person?

Only your own, a photo of someone who agreed to appear in your ad, or stock whose licence allows it.
